There are two main benefits of choosing an aluminium trailer.
Aluminium trailers are very light
Steel is a very heavy metal, which doesn't make it the ideal material to use to construct a trailer. The heavier your trailer is, the more gas you will use when towing it from one place to another. The increased weight of a steel trailer will also affect the balance of your vehicle and could make it difficult to control when travelling at speed. Aluminium trailers have a larger maximum weight capacity

Aluminium is not as strong as steel, which means there is an increased chance that the metal will be damaged if it comes into contact with obstacles when you are driving along.
Aluminium can be costly to repair if damaged
If your trailer is damaged, it can be costly to get the problem fixed. While superficial scratches shouldn't cause too much of a problem, deep gashes will require specialist repair.
